Dunkin’ or Krispy Kreme ?

No contest. I take my son there every few weeks to get them hot and fresh. Between him and me, we eat half a dozen on the ride home.

“jif”, like intended
Anyway I’m one of those “romance language”-speaking Europeans who usually spell “CentOS” in the same way an albionesque guy would spell “Chentos”; also “Git” is “Jit” to me and to everyone around me even if everyone knows it’s WRONG
yet the Internet police hasn’t arrested any on us so far

tmux + tpm + mosh

echo or printf?

printf is portable
also ed is the standard text editor

printf '%s\n' "Hello World" > hi.txt
printf '%s\n' ,s/^Hello/Goodbye w | ed -s hi.txt

such beauty

Pi 4 or Odroid N2 ?

That’s an old reference I didn’t think I would ever read again. Wasn’t that in the UHH?

Well that exact quote is a reference to a famous joke archived on gnu.org, anyway it was also referenced in a mail of the same period published on the UHH it seems (I almost forgot that)

I’ve seen the opposite (CentOS on desktop, Fedora on server) with the reasoning that some proprietary graphic driver didn’t install on a “leading edge” distro
this happened when Fedora was more “bleeding” than “leading” at the hands of an experienced sysadmin managing public-facing services in a credit institution some ~10 years ago
