Generally, if corporations has more than 200 reviews and most 4/5’s and a few 1 and 2’s, it’s usually quite good. (Companies like Dropbox has often an average of 3.5 or less.)
@Ympker Anything you would recommend from the Stacksocial sale (or other LTD BF/CM sales)? I was looking at “Design Wizard”, Rezi, Hushed, and XSplit VCam in particular.
Design Wizard has terrible ToS for designers. I wanted to get it once but wont. They keep rights on designs basically and you cant create designs on demand for client or similar. You can also not just edit template from them a little and sell to client. Really bad for anyone who needs to stick to the laws like here in Germany If you come from some place where stuff like this doesnt matter I think might be ok but I will stax away.
Rezi was given free on appsumo (maybe still?). I dont know about the other two VPN sales may be some good ones, other than that Koofr.
Yikes, I didn’t know about that for Design Wizard. Definitely won’t buy that then
The Rezi page on AppSumo throws 404 now sadly. Thanks for the info though
Got Hushed and XSplit before the BF sale, and both are great (at least depending on the use case)
Google Voice is far better than Hushed with it’s free unlimited US/CA calls, but it requires an U.S. number. Hushed doesn’t, but has limited (yet plenty for me even with the lowest option) calling/messaging quota. And hushed requires you to make a call within a 180day period to retain your number. And hushed is currently down (calling doesn’t work, only forwarding) so keep that in mind. Also, sending and receiving (both calls and text) is both charged out of your credits. Despite all these, I still like the interface and the quality.
XSplit VCam is also great (especially with Google Meet currently doing A/B testing for changing background). I like the bluring feature so I use that on my Zoom class instead of Zoom’s own background changing feature. You can go really low-level and change camera settings, and the software is really great at recognizing only you and bluring out everything else (incl. chair - optional). It sometimes misunderstands some black parts on the background, but other than that I’m really happy with it
BTW, You can only have one Hushed SS subscription per account (at least that’s what’s said on the product page), so choose your plan wisely!
–EDIT–
Oh and one more thing, the messaging quota and calling quota is also shared.
Thanks @sanvit Unfortunate to hear about the Hushed issues. I think I will keep using my SIP trunk for now
After a little Googling, I was able to find Rezi lifetime for free on Slickdeals → https://slickdeals.net/f/14275508-free-rezi-resume-builder-lifetime-access-code-lifetime-sos20-was-348
I’m surprised they would sell this lifetime promo for $89 when it’s available for free
Rezi Pro (which was $29 iirc) and the free Rezi had some feature differences last time I checked. Haven’t seen any $89 subscription though
Socialmonials launched a BF for an enterprise account
https://www.campaign3.com/blackfriday
Also, they are buying back AS codes.
We want you to have the right account for your business or agency. If you purchased multiple codes and prefer our Black Friday deal, we are offering a full-price buyback of up to 4 of your codes if you purchase any of these Black Friday deals.
If you paid $69 for your codes and want to upgrade one of your remaining codes to Enterprise, pay the $23 fee here. If you paid $49 for your codes, pay $103 here. Instructions to redeem will be provided after the purchase.
Stencil
@404error What would you say sets Stencil Apart from say Crello, or Glorify?
I might get Vectorgrove lifetime deal on Stacksocial. With code Apps40 it comes down to some 30€ish and has many nice vector icons/symbols/graphics.
IIRC LiveCanvas can fetch vectorgrove images directly …
Like, if you have a vectorgrove sub, or is it included free of charge?
I inserted one into a placeholder from the menu. I don’t have a subscription … I’ll see if I can screenshot it later.
Cool, thanks! Doesnt their free tier require attribution though? But maybe livecanvas uses their extended license so they can include the api.
I don’t know abour Glorify but I don’t think Crello is beatable.
I used Stencil a couple times or so…
Just login to see what’s there.
Maybe this sets it apart…
And it has 4,8M royalty free photos.
Hmm think I’ll skip. Thanks though
Yeah, I think its a good deal if you don’t have anything else.
My bad, it’s just “Vectorial clipart” …
No worries Thanks for clarifying!
