Part of the HEG group. I have no idea why anyone would use them… this isn’t the first time.
As much as I empathize with the users’ plight- unless you’re paying like $50/mo for cold storage backups ATOP services, how can you expect a cheap host to keep your services backed up 100% to date, with a hot-cutover and everything replicated.
I’m sure they still exist primarily for their #12/yr (first year only) service. They’re 1&1, but slightly better, from what I see.

If you’re relying on 123 Reg for your backups, then you really need to reevaluate your life choices.
