Wondering whether one can use the .iso files from the Media Creation Tool or get them elsewhere from Microsoft?
I used once when Windows 8 first came out. That’s also the first time I bought a USB 3.0 thumbdrive for this purpose. I am not sure if you can use directly from .iso but as far as I know you need to have a running machine on Windows 8 to create this portable workstation.

You need Windows 10 Pro/Enterprise to create one using the built in tools but I believe Rufus is able to create one with a MCT ISO.
