Github Is Now Free for Teams

This is great news! First they made personal private repositories free, now this. I’m very excited for the future of GitHub

Wasn’t aware of the private repositories being free either. So doubly thanks for the news. (I use BitBucket / a server for private repos)

You’re welcome! Yeah, they’ve been free for a little over a year now. I still run a self-hosted Gitea instance, but it just mirrors everything from GitHub.

Powered by Microsoft is not that bad after all.

Well they had to make private repos free to compete with Bitbucket. But this is good news again.

Compostela?
I’d love to be able to go out for a walk.
As a matter of facts I’ll need to go to the bank tomorrow( walking).
no car and being suggested to avoid public transportation.

Very interesting pricing model, seems like they are going to be more dependant on Actions to make their money. Not that actions is particularly expensive compared to CircleCI for most teams.

Very competitive offer none the less.
