VestaCP is finally getting some updates now after just over a year being dormant. Hopefully development keeps up. Haven’t used Cyber Panel but it looks much more actively developed, unfortunately it’s CentOS 7-only and I’m more of a Debian/Ubuntu guy.
Likewise, all of my servers are running either Debian or Ubuntu. But OS aside, I’m pretty torn between the two. One of the biggest factors is being able to skin and/or customize the interface. I know that VestaCP supports it (to a degree), but as Cyber Panel is still in its infancy, there isn’t any documentation regarding skinning/customization.
VestaCP also has the benefit of Softaculous. I don’t like the appearance of the software and prefer Cyber Panel’s implementation of automated Wordpress installs, but Cyber Panel’s options are extremely limited in comparison.
Both have a lot of pros and cons haha.
