I will primarly use it for Coding.
I need to get rid of dual boot (windows/linux) and have 2 computers running at the same time.
Case: Aero-500
20 bucks, a steal.
CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 2200G Wraith Stealth
Motherboards: ASRock A320M-DVS R4.0
Mem: Crucial DDR4-2666 8GB
SSD: Crucial BX500 240GB
PSU: Corsair VS350
I still use my old AM3 for gaming with a 1060, this one gets the older 1050Ti.

Hopefully that’s 2x4gb ? But since you mention its for coding I guess it woudn’t make much of a difference

On the article you mention they use a dedicated GPU on their test bench:

Neon’s Ryzen 2200G has an iGPU that benefits A LOT (nearly doubling the FPS) from dual channel memory when it comes to gaming.

That’s why I asked the question I did. However later I noticed that the main purpose was to use it for coding rather than gaming, and so I edited my comment.

I stand corrected, I completely missed the fact that he has an iGPU.

@vovler The fuck why? Makes absolutely no sense.
- Primary use is Coding, not Gaming
- The System has a 1050Ti with 4gig
- The Mainboard has only 2 DIMM slots, which makes it a fucking pain upgrading from 2x4 which you can throw in the next bin instead of going direct for 1x 8GB and add another 8GB later.
Didnt notice the 1050TI as it was on the last line and not on the spec list. So yes, a single 8gb dimm gives you space to upgrade if you need to later
Its a budget build, so I picked the cheapest AM4 board on the market, at least it has dual channel.
Sadly it has only 2x DIMMs, so 4GB is rendered useless.
Yes Dual Channel brings performance benefits but the iGPU is worse then a 1050Ti, so if you have a dedicated GPU it still affects the game performance but not was much with a dedicated GPU.
